Choosing where to go on your vacation is both exciting and really hard. We share some suggestions that we hope will satisfy your wanderlust, even if you do not have a lot of time and money to spare.

Start with your home state

I promise, there are unique places to explore, restaurants to try and people to meet right there in your home state. We love our home state of Idaho and we never tire of exploring it. If you haven’t had a chance to visit us (or if you are looking for another excuse to visit), we recommend you check out Coeur d’Alene, Sun Valley/Ketchum and Boise.

Go a little further

Once you get the hang of exploring your home state, head on over to your neighboring states. For us Idahoans, a road trip down the Oregon Coast treats us just right and is well within driving distance. Weekend getaways to places like Jackpot, Nevada, or Yellowstone National Park are also fun and relatively close.

Get out your passport!

There is so much to see and do in this big old world. Head north and take the train across Canada. Or catch a long flight and explore exotic locations like Bali and New Zealand. If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, take a look at the Azores or the Faroe Islands. No matter where you go, there is sure to be fun and adventure.
